BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Two Bronson women escaped with minor injuries Thursday afternoon when their vehicle crashed on Matteson Lake Road south of Horkey Road after the Branch County Sheriff’s Office says they had to avoid hitting a white pickup truck which had gotten into their lane of travel.
The Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened just after 1:00 p.m. when a southbound vehicle crossed the center line and went into the northbound lane.
42-year-old Susan Haubold told police she swerved to avoid being hit by the pickup, but she lost control of her vehicle in doing so. Her vehicle then went off the road and struck a deep ditch until coming to a stop near a field.
Haubold and her 72-year-old mother were taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment of what were described as minor injuries.
