DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The Tigers have avoided arbitration with closing pitcher Shane Greene after both sides agreed on a one-year contract reportedly worth four-million-dollars. Greene had 32 saves in 38 opportunities, while striking out 65 but allowing 12 home runs in 63 and one-third innings and ending last season with a 5.12 ERA. The Tigers continue to negotiate deals with outfielder Nicholas Castellanos and pitchers Blaine Hardy, Michael Fulmer, Matthew Boyd and Daniel Norris.
