COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Legg Middle School 8th grade girls basketball team opened the season Monday with a 59-11 loss to Parma Western. Brooklinn Feldbaur led Legg with six points.
The Legg 7th grade A girls basketball team also lost to Parma Western Monday. The Lady Cardinals were led by Mackenzie Scheid with seven points and four rebounds.
The St. Charles Cougars opened their season Monday night with a 44-26 victory over the St. Mary’s Raiders from Bronson. The Cougars were led in scoring by Brady Mescher with 20 points.
The next game for the Cougars will be this Thursday at home against Trinity Lutheran of Sturgis. St. Charles will be playing their home games at Pansophia Academy in Coldwater.
The Quincy 7th grade girls basketball team fell to Reading 26-23 Monday. Ella Dunn and Alyssa McCavit lead the Orioles with 9 points each while Grace Lindsley added 3 and Anna Richer chipped in with 2.
The Lady Orioles are now 0-1 and will take on the Bronson Wednesday at home.
