COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – While a Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service officially remains in effect until 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Branch County dodged the bullet on the worst of the weather and road conditons.
While freezing drizzle and slippery road conditions Tuesday afternoon forced the postponement or cancellation of most sports and extracurrucular activities for county schools, there were no school delays or cancellations Wednesday in Branch County.
In Hillsdale County, a number of schools including Pittsford, Waldron, Reading, and North Adams-Jerome closed Wednesday because of icy rural roads.
