COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners next Tuesday will vote on a resolution to hire Byce and Associates for $1.2 million to be the architects and engineers for the new Branch County Jail. Commissioners reviewed the resolution their Work Session Thursday.
County Administrator Bud Norman said there was still some back and forth that needed to be worked out, but the agreement was not to exceed $1.2 million.
Norman said the amount of the agreement was lower than the bid Byce and Associates originally submitted.
The amount was based upon a project cost of up of to $25 million and the allowance for reimbursable costs that are not to exceed $20,000.
