COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – You knew sooner or later we would have to pay for all of the mild weather we had in the first half of this winter.
Dreams of a White Christmas were just that, dreams, as only about an inch of snow fell in Coldwater during December 2018.
Saturday’s winter storm is expected to make up for the lack of snow we’ve had this season.
Branch County Emergency Management Coordinator Tim Miner told the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session Thursday he didn’t think this will be a monumental event but he expects it to be a nuisance.
Miner reminds residents to plan for the weather and don’t make plans to make you get stuck in the weather. Also, have an emergency kit in your car and enough supplies at home to get you through a winter storm.
If there is one fortunate aspect to this storm, it is coming in on a Saturday when schools are closed and just about everybody is off work.
The Branch County Road Commission is planning to send their plows out at about 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning if the snow moves in overnight.
