COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – More local projects will get a financial boost tonight, as the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary International Club holds an annual event to raise funds for those projects.
Their 31st annual Draw Down and Millionaire Party will be held at the Dearth Community Center at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
Board member Julie Elmore says the group has funded many projects over the years, including the Creal Soccer Complex used by AYSO, the Naomi Davis Shelterhouse, the Coldwater High School Rotary Softball Complex, and most recently, the Heritage Park Splash Pad. With the money raised Saturday night, the Sunrise Rotary is hoping to make a final $25,000 payment on that project.
Club President Sarah Headley says the event Saturday will have a Disney theme. Those attending are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney character. There will be a prize for the best costume.
There will be a Silent Auction along with over $10,000 in cash and prizes will be up for grabs. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m..
