COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Planning for the construction of a new Branch County Jail is moving along. The Branch County Board of Commissioners Tuesday formally approved a resolution to hire Byce and Associates for $1.2 million to be the architects and engineers for the new jail.
The amount of the agreement was lower than the bid Byce and Associates originally submitted. The amount was based upon a project cost of up of to $25 million and the allowance for reimbursable costs that are not to exceed $20,000.
