COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Mother Nature has turned Branch County into a gigantic skating rink thanks to the Tuesday night freezing rain and last weekend’s snowfall.
The National Weather Service says while temperatures have risen above freezing across the area, the steady rain has washed away salt and sand on treated roads in many spots.
This combined with cold road temperatures has resulted in slushy and slippery conditions on many roads.
If you must be out this morning, slow down and give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.
The Coldwater, Union City, Quincy and Bronson schools districts, as well as Pansophia Academy, St. Charles Borromeo School and the Branch Intermediate School District all closed for the day.
