COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education approved a series of transportation policies and procedures during their meeting Wednesday.
Cindy Rowe from Head Start and Early Education said some of the policies were new while others were updated. One policy calls for children in Early Education Services to be documented each time they board a bus and leave it.
Superintendent Kris Jenkins rode three buses last week to make the sure the policies which are in place are being implemented.
The policies approved also included procedures on releasing children to authorized individuals in the event of an emergency, proper bus behavior and what to do if no one is available to pick up a child from school or from a bus.
