COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls gymnastics team continues to push the bar higher as the gymnasts claimed another league victory with a record setting team score Thursday night.
Coldwater defeated Parma Western at home on Thursday by a margin of 136.675 to 126.925. The mark improved on the team record set two weeks ago. The Cardinals are now 5-1 in the South Central Gymnastics League.
Coldwater swept the top five spots in the All-Around competition. Abby Travelbee tallied an impressive personal best score of 35.250 to take the top honors of the evening. Leah Goodwin claimed the second place finish with her four event total score of 34.025. Erica Rodgers picked up the third place finish at 32.875 points.
Goodwin finished first in the vault and floor exercise while Travelbee finished first on the uneven bars and on the balance beam.
