COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A winter sports season that was going along smoothly until last weekend was disrupted again on Tuesday by bad weather.
For a second straight night, the Branch County High School sports schedule was blown to pieces.
The cancellations included a Coldwater at Three Rivers basketball tripleheader involving the JV girls, varsity girls and varsity boys. It was the second straight night the two schools had a basketball tripleheader called off because of the weather.
Other boys basketball games called off Tuesday were Quincy hosting Marshall, Bronson playing at Prairie Heights and Tekonsha traveling to Colon.
The Bronson Varsity and JV Boys Basketball game with Prairie Heights has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 9th with the J.V. game starting at 6:00 p.m..
Girls basketball games with Quincy playing at Bronson and Union City hosting Jonesville were called off.
Coldwater’s bowling and boys swimming teams were scheduled to be at home on Tuesday but their events were scrubbed because of the poor travel and weather conditions.
