COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A critical Interstate 8 Conference girls/boys high school basketball varsity doubleheader will take place Friday evening as the Marshall Red Hawks host the Coldwater Cardinals. Coldwater’s girls are 11-1 overall and continue to be in first place in the I-8 with a 8-0 conference record. They defeated Marshall 56-25 on December 14.
The boys game will be a rematch of a thrilling 52-50 Cardinal victory on that same night. Coldwater brings a 10-2 overall record into the game. They are 7-1 in the I-8 which leaves them in a tie for first with Parma Western. Marshall is two games back of the Cardinals and the Panthers.
The girls game starts at 6:00 p.m. followed by the boys game at about 7:30 p.m. Coverage on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB as well as on line at www.wtvbam.com and on Facebook LIve starts at 5:30 p.m.
All of the underclassmen games between Coldwater and Marshall were cancelled Thursday night due to the weather. The junior varsity girls and boys basketball games between Union City and Quincy were also called off. Also scrubbed were Bronson’s J.V. basketball games at Jonesville.

Meanwhile, all of the Coldwater boys and girls basketball games at Three Rivers that were called off this week because of the bad weather have been rescheduled for Monday, February 18th. There will be two tripleheaders at Three Rivers Middle and High School. The schedule is as follows:

The bad weather forced the cancellation of the Coldwater bowling match at Marshall, the boys swimming meet at Bridgman and the girls gymnastics meet at Tecumseh
