William H. Raymond, 74, of Union City, passed away
Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 8, 2019
at 7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor John Blaskie of
Athens Congregational Church officiating. The family will receive friends,
prior to the service, beginning at 5:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
William was born January 1, 1945 in Monroe, MI to Robert
& Shirley (Lane) Raymond. He married Kay L. Lampman on May 7, 1965.
Bill worked for Michigan Gas Utilities for 32 years,
retiring in 2000. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing,
with a large collection of fishing lures. Bill enjoyed buying and selling
antiques and had a great love of classic cars.
He was a devout Christian man
who loved to sing, especially country music.
He sang praise and worship at his church for many years and also for
residents at Country Knoll Apartments.
Bill is survived by his wife Kay, his son and daughter-in-law
John & Julie Raymond of Coldwater, his grandson Kyle Raymond of Coldwater,
his siblings Cheryl Cutler of Auburn, IN, Keith (Insa) Raymond of Coldwater,
Sam (Marilyn) Raymond of Coldwater, his sister-in-law Janice Raymond of
Coldwater and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death
by his brothers Jack and Rex Raymond.
