Karen Sue Herman Galinis, 61, of Coldwater, passed away on
Saturday, February 2, 2019 at home.
Visitation will be
held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home
in Bronson with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial
will take place at 10:30 AM, Thursday, at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson
with The Very Rev. Mark Vyverman officiating.
Interment will take place at a
later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bronson.
Karen was born June
6, 1957 to Larry and Virginia (Kupiecki) Herman in Sturgis. She was a graduate
of Bronson High School and did complete 2 years of college.
Karen was a cook at
Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater for many years, but she
especially loved being a homemaker and taking care of others.
She was an avid
Notre Dame fan, she enjoyed reading, daily prayers, her dogs and cats and she
absolutely loved to cook. Karen will be remembered for her very unselfish
attitude toward others and for having a heart full of kindness to everything.
Karen is survived
by her daughter Sara (Robert Ratliff) Galinis of Coldwater; her siblings,
Dan(Terri) Herman of Sebring, Florida, Linda Robertson of Bronson, Gary (Deb)
Herman of Bronson and Julie (Jim Tolliver) Herman of Union City. She is also
survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Karen was
preceded in death by her parents.
