COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A 19-year-old Coldwater woman was ordered to serve between 16 months and four years in the Michigan Department of Corrections Monday after she entered guilty pleas in Branch County Circuit Court to three charges that were filed in connection with an October 24, 2018 high speed chase through two counties.
19-year-old Alexandria Stolte of Coldwater was given concurrent sentences on charges of larceny of a building, fourth degree fleeing from a police officer and financial transaction device-stealing/retaining without consent. Stolte was given credit for 104 days already served in the Branch County Jail.
She was also ordered to pay nearly $4,400 in restitution which included nearly $3,900 on the fleeing from police charge.
Habitual Offender sentencing enhancements were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
Stolte was taken into custody in Sturgis following a 40 minute chase which started in Coldwater and involved several police agencies. Speeds during the pursuit were reported to be over 100 miles an hour.
