COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Director of Public Safety Mark Bartell will be retiring later this year.
City Manager Keith Baker says in his report for Monday’s City Council meeting that “it is with deep appreciation but regret that I announce the retirement of Director of Public Safety Mark Bartell effective June 30, 2019.”
Bartell began his law enforcement career with the East Lansing Police Department.
He then served the Branch County Sheriff’s Department under the supervision of Sheriff Norm Heinemann.
Bartell began his career with the City of Coldwater in 1981. He eventually became Director of Public Safety in 2012.
