CAMBRIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Five young persons were injured late Sunday afternoon in a Hillsdale County three vehicle chain reaction crash.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says it happened just after 5:00 p.m. on South Hillsdale Road north of Reynolds Road when 19-year-old Justin James Strunk of Clinton lost control of his vehicle and went into the opposite lane of traffic.
His vehicle was struck on the passenger side by another vehicle driven by 24-year-old Katelyn Phoenix Sherwood of Hillsdale.
Strunk’s vehicle then spun and struck a third vehicle which was driven by 17-year-old Madison Jean Vondran of Camden.
Strunk, Sherwood and her two juvenile passengers were all taken to Hillsdale Hospital. One juvenile was later transferred to University of Michigan Medical Center.
Strunk’s passenger, 17-year-old Karsynn Jane Mann of Reading, was taken to Hillsdale Hospital and later transferred to University of Michigan Medical Center.
The Sheriff’s Department says everyone was wearing their seatbelts and the juveniles were in proper car seats.
