COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School Gymnastics team surpassed their fundraising goal Saturday during their ninth annual “Stick It for a Cure” cancer benefit.
They set a goal of $10,000. As of Sunday night, the event raised more than $11,000 to support cancer patients and survivors in Branch County.
All proceeds from the meet and silent auction will benefit the ProMedica Coldwater Cancer Center. This years donation is earmarked to help provide prescription medication for patients receiving chemotherapy if their insurance company does not cover the full cost of the medication.
In the last decade, the team has raised more than $79,000 to benefit local patients.
