COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s been discussed for nearly seven years and a conceptual rendering of the proposed renovations of the Four Corners Park was presented almost four years ago. Now, Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker feels it’s time for the work to actually take place.
He made a presentation to the Coldwater City Council Monday night about the future look of one of the city’s central meeting places.
Baker pointed out the Four Corners Park has not been renovated since the early 1970’s as part of urban renewal.
He estimated the cost of the project would be $475,000, with the city paying $250,000. The balance would be paid through fundraising and a state grant.
The project is expected to be part of the city’s budget discussions later this year. Baker hopes that if everything falls into place, work could begin in the Spring 2020.
