BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The personal collection of late Coldwater Indy Car driver Scott Brayton will be auctioned off Saturday by White Star Auction of Bronson.
Brayton was killed at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in May 1996. He was the pole winner for that year’s Indianapolis 500 and was driving a backup car in practice when it crashed in turn two after a tire deflated.
Included in the auction will be Indy 500 racing suits, gloves, helmets, tires, team shirts, hats and many photographs signed by Brayton and other drivers.
Personal memorabilia include a speeding ticket Brayton got in Louisiana for going 90 miles an hour in a 55 mile per hour zone.
