Wilma Jean Lange, 89,
of Quincy, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at Promedica Coldwater
Regional Hospital.
Wilma was born July 28, 1929 in Benton Harbor to Earl and
Helen (Brownell) Farmer. Wilma graduated from Benton Harbor High School and
attended Lake Michigan College. She married Charles A. Lange on May 12, 1950
and he preceded her in death on December 26, 1999.
Wilma was secretary for
Lee and Helen Burlew and served in the same capacity for Englewood Electric.
She was a member of the Lions Club for over 30 years, the Republican Club where
she was a delegate, Travco Motor Coach Club, Good Sam’s Club, Coldwater and
Quincy United Methodist Church and was active in the Choir, 4-H Leader, Girl
Scout Leader, NIKA, and was a volunteer at the Coldwater Hospital.
Survivors include,
Patricia Green of Coldwater, Gerald (Julie) Lange of Iowa, John (Connie) Lange
of Coldwater, Catherine (Tim) Kelly of Jackson and Ronald (Sylvia) Lange of
Florida; daughter- in- law, Becky Lange of Quincy; sisters, Janet (Robert) Hahn
of St Joseph and Joyce Corwin of Niles; twelve grandchildren; eleven
great-grand children and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by her husband, Charles; son, Donald Lange; two sisters, Marilyn
Houseworth and Carol Farmer.
Wilma was a loving,
caring person and will be missed by family and friends.
A funeral service for
Wilma will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the
Coldwater United Methodist Church with Reverend Julie Yoder Elmore officiating.
Graveside services will be Friday at 2:00 P.M. in Lakeview Cemetery, Quincy.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Eagle
Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Quincy.
Memorials are suggested
to Tibbits Opera House or Branch Area Lions Club.
