HOPKINSVILLE, KY (WTVB) – A former Coldwater resident who is now serving as a police officer in Hopkinsville, Kentucky is recovering after being shot twice Monday morning during a pursuit while investigating a robbery at a local Walmart.
WTVF-TV in Nashville reports Jeremy Davidson is in stable condition at Skyline Medical Center after he was struck in the head and arm.
Eventually, four persons between the ages of 19 and 28 were arrested in connection with the investigation.
Davidson is expected to recover from his injuries but when reporters asked Police Chief Clayton Sumner what the public could do to help him, the chief said, “Pray. If that’s your thing and you believe in that, we’ll take all you can give us.”
Davidson’s family moved from Coldwater about 14 years ago.
