COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – An annual Memorial Day weekend event in Coldwater has changed names.
The three day event at Heritage Park is now called River Through Time, after it was formerly known as Civil War Days.
The non-profit group’s website says its timelines will cover events from the 1600’s through the Vietnam War.
They are seeking donations and contributions in order to continue the event. The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Board of Directors approved a $1,000 donation Tuesday.
CBPU Director Jeff Budd said there will still be an education day for over 1,400 area students and families Friday, May 24, 2019.
Throughout the weekend, visitors to the free event will be able to see camp life of early settlers and native Americans. There will also be military encampments from various wars.
