COLDWATER, MI 9WTVB) – Officials at the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities are breathing easier about a transformer on Michigan Avenue.
Crews had to perform emergency maintenance and an inspection last month on the transformer after there were negative oil tests.
CBPU Director Jeff Budd told their Board of Directors Tuesday the initial oil samples came back within specifications.
He said in his report for Tuesday’s meeting that this is good news and reduces the initial fears of the transformer needing significant repairs or replacement.
Budd added they will continue to monitor the 23 year old transformer.
