QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In high school basketball, the Marshall Red Hawks used a 17-4 second quarter to defeat the Quincy Orioles 59-34 Wednesday in a non-conference game which was also Quincy’s last home game of the season.
After leading 27-14 at the half, Marshall then put the game away with a 22-8 third quarter as the Orioles dropped to 16-3. After shooting 61 percent from the floor in Tuesday’s win over Bronson, the Orioles were held to 36 percent shooting by the Red Hawks. Quincy also committed 21 turnovers.
Caleb McCavit led the Orioles with 18 points and eight rebounds.
Marshall improved to 12-7.
Quincy J.V.’s also lost as they were beaten by Adrian Lenawee Christian 56-34.
