COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – While the girls basketball regular season still has a week left, the regular season for boys high school basketball ends this evening.
Coldwater will host Jackson Lumen Christi in the final girls/boys varsity doubleheader of the season at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium. There will be a girls junior varsity game at 4:00 p.m.. The varsity doubleheader starts at 6:00 p.m..
The Coldwater girls will be looking to clinch the outright Interstate 8 title with a win this evening. It would be their first conference title since 1992.

—UNDERCLASSMEN BASKETBALL—
Quincy’s J.V. Boys team lost to Concord 56-46. Corbin Bethel had 12 points for the Orioles.
The Coldwater Freshmen Girls Basketball Team won at Williamston 57-22. Leading the way for Coldwater was Jenni Hernandez with 18 points. Mallory Wilber and Allison Miller had 12 points each while Jayla Foster added eight points.
===MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL===
The Legg Middle School 8th grade girls basketball team ended the season with a loss to Lumen Christi 42-29. Brooklyn Kerry led Legg with 19 points followed by Eliza Douglas with six points.
The Legg Middle School 7th grade A girls basketball team finished the season 4-5 following their 44-26 win against Lumen Christi. Jaelah Sloan led the way with 19 points and six rebounds. Mackenzie Scheid had eight rebounds. The Cardinals recorded a season-high 12 assists. The 7th grade B girls basketball team lost to Lumen Christi.
The St. Charles Borromeo Cougars defeated Factoryville Christian 32-29 on Thursday night. The Cougars were led in scoring by Brady Mescher with 11 points followed by Christopher Grahl with nine points. This was the last regular season game for the Cougars in the Sturgis Christian League, the team finished the year with a record of 6-0.
The league tournament is Saturday with the Cougars beginning play at 2:45 p.m. at St. Mary’s in Bronson.
