COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) –
All of the Coldwater and Bronson bowling teams qualified for the state finals on Friday while the Quincy teams came up short during regional competition. The top three teams in each regional advance to the MHSAA Finals next weekend.
Both of the Coldwater teams finished second at the Division Two regional tournament at Continental Lanes in Kalamazoo. The Coldwater girls only finished 51 pins behind Pennfield for the regional title. The Panthers had a score of 3,536 while Coldwater’s score was 3,485. Sturgis won the boys regional title with a score of 4,079. Coldwater was second at 3854 and Pennfield was third.
Bronson’s boys finished second as they were edged by Napoleon by just 11 pins, 3,723 to 3,712, for the regional title. The Bronson girls also finished second as Vandercook Lake won the regional championship.
At the Division Three Regionals in Flat Rock, the Quincy boys tied for eighth while the Quincy girls were sixth.
