COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A strong cold front will track across the region from west to east early Sunday morning will bring Very strong west winds into Sunday evening. The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning from 7:00 a.m. Sunday until 1:00 a.m. Monday for Branch County and the surrounding region Sunday.
West winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 50 to 60 mph can be expected from Sunday morning through early Sunday evening, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph continuing through the remainder of Sunday evening. Winds will gradually subside overnight Sunday into Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, the strong winds Sunday will likely lead to tree and power line damage along with sporadic power outages across the area. These strong winds will bring colder air into the region with subzero wind chills expected Monday morning.
