KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school basketball, Coldwater will face Battle Creek Central in the Division One District semifinals at Kalamazoo Loy Norrix after the Bearcats eliminated crosstown rival Battle Creek Lakeview 50-47 Monday night. The Cardinals will bring a 15-5 record into Wednesday nights game while the Bearcats are 9-9.
Game time is 6:00 p.m.. Coverage begins at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday night here on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB as well as on line at www.wtvbam.com.
In the other opening round game Monday, Gull Lake defeated Sturgis 67-54, so Gull Lake will face Loy Norrix in the second semifinal Wednesday. The winners Wednesday will meet for the district title Friday night.
Division Three at Bronson
Union City advanced with a 59-43 victory over Galesburg-Augusta as the Chargers improved to 14-7. Union City will face Delton-Kellogg in the second semifinal on Wednesday night. Bronson will take on Vermontville Maple Valley in the first game at 5:30 p.m..
Division Three at Reading
Quincy will face Homer Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. in the Division Three Districts at Reading after the Trojans blasted Jackson Prep 79-27 on Monday night. Homer handed Quincy their only conference loss this season. The host Reading Rangers advanced on Monday with a 53-43 win over Concord.
