COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School Lady Cardinals used a 23-5 third quarter to pull away for a 56-29 victory over Harper Creek to complete an undefeated Interstate 8 Conference championship season Tuesday night.
Tyler Scheid led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Samantha Rodesiler added 11 points and four assists while Olivia Foley and Emilee Smoker added eight points apiece.
Coldwater improves to 18-1 overall and will conclude its regular season when they host SMAC East champion Portage Central on Thursday.

Kiera Lasky poured in a game-high 23 points which included a seven-for-eight performance on three point shots as Bronson defeated Branch County rival Quincy 53-43. Keona Salesman recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Jessica Holcomb also had a double for Quincy with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Katie Rathbun had 10 points.
Bronson improves to 14-5 overall and 12-2 in the Big 8 while Quincy is now 9-10 overall and they finished 5-9 in the conference.
