QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Wendorf Family Fund, which is a fund within the Branch County Community Foundation, has donated $20,000 to Quincy Community Schools for an updated public address system.
The new P.A. system was installed a month ago for both Quincy High School and the Middle School.
It includes bells and a call back feature in each classroom for security. The new system allows school officials to use pre-recorded options in case a lock down is needed. Administrators would also be able to use cell phones to activate security procedures.
The new system also integrates with the current phone system.
Quincy School Superintendent Marc Kramer says when their old system failed, they found out it was so old it was no longer able to be supported.
