STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school basketball, Coldwater will be trying to win a second straight district championship Friday night as they’ll face the Bearcats of Battle Creek Central in a Division One District Championship game.
Due to a gas leak at Sturgis High School, the site for the game has been switched to the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse.
Despite committing 26 turnovers, Coldwater improved to 20-1 on Wednesday night with a 59-40 win over Gull Lake. Battle Creek Central is 12-6 after they smashed Sturgis 86-34 in the district semifinals behind 47 points from Arieonna Ware
The winner of Friday night’s game advances to the regionals at Caledonia where they would face either Holt or East Lansing Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Division Three at Delton Kellogg—
A pair of 17-5 teams will meet for the Division Three District championship at Delton Kellogg as the host team will face Bronson. The Vikings will try to advance to their home court for the regional semifinals on Monday night against either Constantine or Centreville.
