ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A car fire eventually led to the destruction of two residences on the north side of Angola Saturday night.
The Angola Fire Department says the car blaze in the garage at 809 Stevens Street was reported just after 8:35 p.m.. While responding, the call was upgraded to a double residence fire at both 809 and 811 Stevens Street. The first police officers on the scene reported heavy fire throughout both residences.
It took firefighters about a half hour to get the fire under control. Crews were on the scene until almost midnight.
Three other fire departments assisted Angola crews. No injuries were reported. The property was owned by Ron Sellers. A dollar estimate on the damage was not available.
