COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners formally approved a pair of staffing requests from the Sheriff’s Department and the Commission on Aging Tuesday.
They approved a request from Sheriff John Pollack to fill a second open corrections officer position following a recent dismissal.
Pollack said the officer would be hired at the new starting wage of over $13 an hour.
Commissioners also approved a request from Commission on Aging Executive Director Amy Duff who wants to fill a part time aide position at a starting wage of $10.79 an hour. The person hired would work 20 to 29 hours a week and perform in home personal care, homemaking and respite care for eligible Branch County seniors.
Funds have already been budgeted for this position.
