COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Finding the next Branch County Road Commission Engineer and Manager is taking longer than expected.
Expressing a desire to work in his family farming business, Trent Arver said last October he would be leaving the Road Commission in January 2019.
The opening was posted after the Road Commission Board formally accepted Arver’s resignation, with an application deadline of November 30, 2018.
But for one reason or another, the position has not been filled.
Applications and resumes are still being accepted. The job posting says applicants must have a Bachelor degree in business administration with construction experience or a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering; or equivalent; with 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Applicants must also have a knowledge of roads, bridge construction, maintenance, finance and budgeting. They would also be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the road commission and county parks.
The job pays between $75,000 and $85,000 a year.
For a complete job description, an application and additional information, contact the Branch County Road Commission at (517) 278-2022.
