COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Quincy man charged in connection with BB gun incidents in Coldwater and Quincy entered no contest pleas in three criminal cases filed against him by the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
44-year-old Ricky Dale Cox II entered the pleas to two counts of malicious destruction of property between $1,000 and $20,000 as well as a count of breaking and entering a building with intent. In exchange for his pleas, all over pending cases in Branch County District Court will be dropped, but Cox will be responsible for the restitution in all of the cases filed against him.
Over a dozen charges had been filed against Cox including six counts of malicious destruction of property, three counts of receiving and concealing stolen property and two counts of second degree home invasion.
Sentencing has been scheduled for May 13, 2019.
Cox was arrested following an investigation by police in Coldwater and Quincy and the Michigan State Police into nearly three dozen reports of BB vandalism.
