COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Plans continue to move forward for the building the City of Coldwater owns at 71 and 73 West Chicago.
Economic Development Assistant Audrey Tappenden told the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority Board Wednesday that local architect Scott Morrison has put together at no charge some conceptual drawings for potential uses. The outside included an open pavilion.
Tappenden said Morrison’s plan on the first floor would include metal roll out doors on the west side of the building which open to outdoor space and a possible pavilion.
One concept for the second floor would include three apartments.
The Clark and J.W. Sweet building was donated to the city by the Kerr family. It recently was the home of Ba Ba Black Sheep and Emmy’s Salon, but is currently vacant.
The Downtown Development Authority. approved $7,000 in asbestos abatement funds for the building last month.
