COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence along with the Tibbits Opera Foundation and Arts Council are teaming up for the showing of the feature film “Ring of Silence,” at the Tibbits Opera House April 12, 2019.
The film is intended to bring the issue of human trafficking to the forefront of the community for awareness and discussion.
Officials say the human trafficking epidemic has victimized over 8,000 people just in Michigan in the last decade alone. The film is directed by Nicole Bowers Wallace.
Showings will be at 8:30 am, 11:00 a.m., 3:30 p.m., and 7:30 p,m. All showings are free and will be followed by a discussion. The 11:00 a,m, showing will include a box lunch and is eligible for C.E.U. credits.
