COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In high school baseball, Coldwater dropped all three of their games in the Southern Michigan Bank and Trust Invitational which they hosted at Lowe and Borden Fields Saturday.
Coldwater lost to Coloma 10-6 in their opening game. Zach Rigot had three hits for the Cardinals. Hunter St. Claire had a two run double. Bryce Lafferty had two hits including a double.
The Cardinals then lost to Traverse City West 11-5. Brady Warner had two hits while Brock Thornton had two RBI’s.
Fremont, Indiana then defeated Coldwater 9-2 to drop Coldwater’s record to 1-4.
Zeeland West won the tournament title with a 5-4 victory over Traverse City West in the championship game which went eight innings.
Bronson dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Berrien Springs on Saturday by scores of 4-1 and 3-1. Brett Sikorski had two hits in each of the two games for Bronson. The two losses dropped Bronson’s record to 2-3.
