BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – In high school baseball Tuesday, Bronson opened up Big 8 Conference play with a doubleheader sweep of Quincy by scores of 4-0 and 22-7. Brett Sikorski was the winning pitcher in the opener as he tossed a two-hitter and helped his own cause with an inside-the-park home run. Kyler Economou got both of the Quincy hits.
Bronson used an 11-run third inning to take control of the nightcap. Brendan Withington led the Vikings with four hits while Sikorski had three hits. Blaine Robinson and Hudson Wotta both had three RBI’s. Ryan Wisman had two hits including a triple. Economou drove in two runs for the Orioles. Grady Porter and Matt Hagaman both scored twice.
Bronson is now 4-3 while Quincy drops to 1-4.
Union City swept Springport in a Big 8 Conference doubleheader by scores of 13-0 and 14-3. Larson Kever and Kyle Johnson were the winning pitchers. Avery Stuart belted a three run homer in the first game.
Larson Kever had three triples in the twinbill as the Chargers improved to 2-1.

Bronson and Quincy split their Big 8 Conference doubleheader. The Vikings won the opener 6-3 but Quincy came back to win the nightcap 11-0. Megan Kirt had five hits in the doubleheader for Quincy including a double and a homer.
Springport swept a Big 8 Conference doubleheader from Union City by scores of 7-5 and 13-9. Hope Austin and Sydney Falkner both had two hits for the Chargers.
