Joe Blair Keeton, 25, formerly of Quincy, passed away in Virginia Beach, VA. He was born
February 20, 1994 in Marshall, MI.
He graduated from Quincy High School in 2012 and then went on to serve his country in the
United States Navy until June of 2018. Joe had been employed for Ascolta in Herndon, VA
and was a member of the VFW in Fremont, IN. He enjoyed hiking, rescue diving for the
Navy, swimming and loved the outdoors.
Joe is survived by his mother, Robin (Elwin) Stanton of Bronson; father, Walter “Nick”
Keeton of Quincy; brother, Garrett (Kayleigh Burden) of Luna Pier, MI; sister, Rachel (Jeff
Malin) Keeton of Lathrup Village, MI; grandmother; Nancy “Meetmaw” Doolittle of
Springfield; godmother, Joann Parker of Quincy and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Joe is
also survived by his Virginia Beach family, especially Dustin, Trisha, Wade and Jase Rand;
Dillon McCaslin; special friend, Kaylyn Trenchard and his beloved cat, Leo.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Doolittle; grandmothers, Rosie Keeton and
Nina Zimmerman and godfather, Gary Parker.
A funeral service for Joe Blair Keeton will be held Monday, April 15, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the
Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Gaylord VanAken
officiating. Interment will be held in Whig Cemetery. The family will receive friends for
visitation on Monday, April 15 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
