COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals will be hosting five other teams in the Pat Lowe Memorial Baseball Tournament Saturday. Games will be played at Lowe and Borden Fields with the championship game set for 7:00 p.m. at Lowe Field.
Coldwater will face Mattawan at 9:00 a.m. and Dundee at 2:00 p.m.. The game with Mattawan will be carried by AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB as well as on line at www.wtvbam.com starting at 8:45 a.m..
Traverse City Central, Three Rivers and Spring Lake will also be competing in the tournament.
Union City is also hosting an invitational tournament at Alumni Field Saturday. They will face Sand Creek at 9:00 a.m.. Michigan Center will take on Constantine at 11:00 a.m.. The consolation game will be at 1:00 p.m. with the championship game at 3:00 p.m..
Bronson’s varsity team will be at Jackson Lumen Christi while the Bronson J.V.’s will be playing in an invitational tournament at Vicksburg.
Quincy’s J.V. baseball team will be playing at the Onsted Invitational.
—GIRLS SOFTBALL—
Coldwater will host a six-team tournament at the Rotary Softball Complex by Max Larsen School. The Cardinals will face Olivet at 10:00 a.m. and Portland Saint Patrick at 2:00 p.m., with the championship game scheduled for 6:00 p.m..
Coldwater’s J.V. squad will be competing in a tournament at Gull Lake.
Union City will also be hosting an invitational tournament. The Chargers will face Michigan Center at 9:00 a.m. followed by Harper Creek against Constantine. The five inning consolation game will start at about 1:00 p.m. with the championship game scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m..
—GIRLS SOCCER—
Coldwater will be hosting a four-team junior varsity tournament. They will face Battle Creek Central at 9:00 a.m. followed by Harper Creek against Marshall. There will be a penalty kick shootout tournament at 11:30 a.m. followed by the third place match at 12:15 p.m. and the tournament championship match 1:30 p.m..
—GIRLS TENNIS—
Coldwater will be competing in the girls tennis tournament which is part of the Marshall Sports Fest.
—TRACK—
Quincy will be among nine teams competing at the Homer Pork Weiss Invitational.
