COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says work is scheduled to begin on the construction of the 50-unit four story Lofts at Milnes Plaza and the reconstruction of the Milnes parking lot on or about May 15, 2019.
The project is expected to take one year to complete.
Baker says the project will include repairs and replacement of water, sanitary sewer, electrical and storm sewer utilities to the adjacent buildings on U.S. 12 and North Monroe.
Meanwhile, the City Council will be asked Monday night to approve a bid of just under $126,000 from Parrish Excavating of Quincy for the reconstruction of the underground utilities in the Milnes Plaza parking lot.
The bid from Parrish was the only one submitted and opened on April 11, 2019.
According to the resolution the Council is scheduled to take action on, the project is being budgeted with funds left over from the Chandler Plaza parking lot reconstruction project and utility funds from the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities.
