COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After taking the early lead in the first half, the Coldwater High School girls varsity soccer team gave up three second half goals to fall to Grand Ledge 4-1 Friday night.
Megan Barnes scored the opening goal for Coldwater less than seven minutes into the game. Grand Ledge tied the game with 9:40 to play in the first half. The next three goals for Grand Ledge came in a six minute stretch in the second half.
Emily Fagen made six saves in goal as Grand Ledge outshot Coldwater 16-5.
The Lady Cardinals are now 2-4-1 overall. They play at Sturgis on Tuesday night. The Coldwater JV team fell to Grand Ledge 5-0.
