UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – A Village of Union City police officer is being recognized for his actions last December near Athens.
Officer Travis Ferry has received a ”Chief’s Award” from the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribal Police Department.
Ferry was honored for his role in assisting with a call involving a man with a gun.
Union City Police Chief Chris Mathis says the incident was a dangerous situation that was resolved compassionately and safely thanks to Ferry’s actions. .
