COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After a nearly half hour discussion, the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority Board Wednesday morning agreed to commit funding to the Four Corners Park redevelopment project.
Following a request from City Manager Keith Baker last month, the DDA board initially allocated $50,000 towards the project along with $25,000 from the 2019-2020 fiscal year budget.
Branch County Economic Growth Alliance Executive Director Lisa Miller pointed out the initial $50,000 allocation was already in the parking lot fund of the 2018-2019 fiscal year budget.
Baker has requested a $150,000 commitment from the DDA to the redevelopment project over the next five years.
He proposed the DDA initially allocate $50,000 toward the project, with subsequent annual contributions of $25,000 over the next four fiscal years.
