STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – In girls high scjhool soccer, Coldwater gave up two goals early in the second half and fell at Sturgis 2-0 in non-conference action Tuesday night.
After a scoreless first half, Sturgis got their first goal with 32:31 to play in the game, with the second with 27:33 to play. Despite outshooting Sturgis 11-8, Coldwater wasn’t able to get on the board.
Emily Fagen made five saves in goal as the Lady Cardinals fell to 2-5-1 on the season. Sturgis improved to 3-2.
The Coldwater JV team beat Sturgis 4-2, with two goals from Joselyn Salto and one each from Jenni Hernandez and Ezma Machan.
Both teams host Pennfield in Interstate 8 Conference action Friday.
