BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – One minor injury was reported from a two vehicle crash on the east side of Bronson Wednesday morning.
Bronson Police report the accident at East Chicago and Wayne Street happened at about 7:30 a.m..
They say a driver on Wayne Street pulled out in front of a eastbound vehicle while trying to turn left onto U.S. 12. The driver’s view was reported to have been obstructed by a school bus traveling east, turning south onto Wayne Street.
Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. The at fault driver will be cited for failure to yield.
Bronson Police Chief Stephen Johnson says the intersection has been the location of several prior accidents in the past of similar nature. He is reminding drivers that if you do not have a clear visual of oncoming traffic, wait until you do so.
Bronson Police were assisted by the Bronson Fire Department.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police assisted with traffic control until the road could be opened back up.
