COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -Hopefully, Old Man Winter made his final stop in Branch County over the weekend.
Winter briefly returned as light snow was reported at the Branch County Memorial Airport between 9:30 p.m. Saturday night and 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, just a few days before the beginning of May.
National Weather Service observers reported some accumulating snow in parts of southwest Michigan.
There were reports of 3 ½ inches of snow near Keefer, three inches at Otsego and 2 ½ inches near Paw Paw and Benton Harbor.
For the most part, the snow covered the grass and quickly melted off as temperatures warned up and sunshine move back into the area.
